~Cord Butterfly tote bag~ SOLD

100% cotton cord, and hemp muslin lined tote bag. 

This bag would make a perfect book bag or diaper bag!!

For the applique I used a hand dyed hemp cord in blues and purples. It is tightly satin stitched in a deep purple. The applique was hand drawn by me then heat bonded to the fabric before satin stitching . I pull all the threads to the back and knot 3 times to be sure it is secure.  I also hand embroidered a mirror for the head of the butterfly.

Hand dyed using procion MX fiber reactive dyes.  I was inspired by our drive out to the coast in North Carolina earlier this fall….  This would make a beautiful  skirt in the summer…  Can be used as a sarong, wall hanging, table cloth, picnic blanket…the uses are endless..
